Comments
Comments: The climb to North Brother via the Marston tr. is an elevation gain of 2,936 feet. A steady ascent through beautiful woods crossing Roaring Brook several times. The open summit has outstanding 360 degree views.

The one mile bushwhack to Fort Mountain took us 1hr 10 minutes. It is a herd path through dense scrub. The Fort ridge is a rocky open summit about a half mile long with beautiful views. Someone had placed an old radio from the wreckage of an Air Force plane that crashed on Fort during WW2. It took our group about the same time to get back to the N. Brother summit. Great hike of two of Maines 4ks.
