Comments
Comments: The forecast was for afternoon thunder storms so we thought we could get the summit of Baxter and be down before it started to storm. After a steady climb through the wooded section above Katahdin Stream falls, we came to the very rough, steep boulder section. Got as far as the slabs above the rebar/handholds when it started to thunder. We decided to be prudent and go back down. We had rain and thunder the entire descent back to the car. That boulder section was very scary so I was not sad to turn back.
