 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The dirt road to the ATV gate is not safely passable by ordinary passenger cars. My pickup truck made it, but I went pretty carefully in the tricky spots where erosion is taking over. |

 | Comments: |
The Berry Pickers trail to the AT is a beautiful hike through mossy woods and open slab ridges. We had a comfortably cool and windy day to keep the insects at bay, and a nearly impassable road to keep the crowds at bay. Great hike, if your car can survive the drive in. The clouds stayed high, so the views from Saddleback and Horn were unbeatable and the walk along the ridge was easy going. |
