Comments
Comments: Trails to Blueberry and back down to Stone House Road were in good shape. White Cairn Trail had some steeps with a few scramble ledges. Stone House Trail is like a side walk, much milder. I had trouble finding the trailhead for the Shell Pond Trail on the eastern side of Shell Pond. An arrow points into an open field with no clear direction to follow. It turns out this open field was an airport landing strip at one time. After asking a local resident he told me to follow the grassy strip to the end, where I finally located the trail. At the end of the Shell Pond Loop Trail, the trail sort of disappears at another grassy field. Stone House road is within eye shot at this point. Very bad signage for the Shell Pond and Shell Pond Loop Trails. Also there is no sign for the Stone House Trail off of Stone House Road. It turns left just before the Gorge where the Rattlesnake Pool sign is.
