This was a great hike… once departing the hunt trail it starts getting steep… beautiful forest, the trail is so awesome. Just the forest scenery itself is beautiful. The last 0.9 is around 1000ft elevation…. It gets really steep then bang, your above tree line. The views are amazing, cliffs and rock formations are very cool. A little more ways up you come to a rock cairn but that’s not the summit. Continue on, it dips back into the woods but you’ll follow the trail which leads you to the summit. No summit sign or rock cairn but the trail goes no further. 360 views… spent an hour by myself at summit. Only saw 2 people the whole time I was on the owl trail…. My kind of hiking. Don’t under estimate this hike… 3700 ft mountain but fairly strenuous…. If you don’t hike a lot it could be a buttkicker… my kind of hike tho, I loved it! BSP never disappoints ✌🻠|
