Comments
Comments: Spruce Mountain may be the tallest peak south of the Androscoggin and east of the Whites, but it is a far less impressive hike than other peaks in the area. I parked at the gate on the cell tower access road. The gate was open, but I'm pretty sure it's normally closed and was only open because they were doing work. It was about 1.25 miles to the top along the steep access road. At the summit, there were limited views, mostly to the south. I'm glad I checked it out, but I doubt I'll be back.
