| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There are several new blowdowns on the Puzzle Mountain (GLT). The largest is right before Lunch Ledges and requires going around it. There is a clear herd path around it now. There are 2 on the Woodsum Spur which I crawled under. |

| Comments: |
The trail is packed hard. Due to the warmer temps there are many frozen slushy footprints but spikes worked well. Up higher there are some serious ice flows but I managed again with Hillsounds. I had the crampons packed just in case but didn't need to switch on the ascent. Had I descended that way, I probably would have used crampons. The Woodsum Spur is in rough shape. It was broken by bare boots and not snowshoes and it had little traffic so it never got well packed down before freezing. It needs a good snowfall and some folks in snowshoes to fix it. As you get lower there is less snow and even places with bare ground. We just need snow. Badly. |
