| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked at the parking lot on Schooner Head Road. Lots of room there at 2:15pm. Unfortunately, though I’d read the guidebook, I didn’t pick up on the fact that it describes the trail from a different parking area (Sand Beach) and thus I’ll need to go back to redline the short connecting path from that parking area to this loop :/ |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No blowdowns. Trail is blazed in blue and isn’t difficult to follow. Note that a 0.1mi section of the trail is closed Monday-Thursday from 6am-4:30pm due to maintenance. It also looked like a section of trail just north of this had been rerouted.

| Dog-Related Notes: |
We saw a few. There’s signs saying that they must be leashed. Good trail for dogs but the rough walks will chew up their paws if they aren’t used to it. |

| Comments: |
Second hike of the day after Beehive/Bowl earlier. Mostly cloudy and windy in the low 60s but not bad hiking weather. A nice loop hike with great views of the ocean :) So different from the usual hiking I do! Easy hike with not too much elevation though the footing is a little rough on all the rock. The trail was very dry on the whole though the rock would be quite slick in many places if wet. Gaia had us at 1.7mi (due to our parking in a different spot than described in the guidebook) and 200ft of gain (guidebook underestimated the gain a bit). |
