Comments: Gray Ghost Ski Trail, AT

From the lot, we cut through the lodge, which was open. The bathroom access was really appreciated. Then uphill on the ski slope to the right (looking uphill) of the quad. There was a small herd path formed in the grass, which helped us confirm we were headed in the right direction. But any route uphill will work. It was easy enough to locate the upper trail once we got up that high. The ski slopes were wet and muddy, with a couple large piles of snow left from where they blew snow during the season. The grass was still short, which was nice. I guess that’s the trade off for going early on in the summer and fighting the bugs. The actual hiking trail at the top was in good shape with only one muddy bog that could use one more big rock to help with the rock hopping. Very few people out for this hike.
