Bugs: Bad. Really bad. Parking lot was a disaster, but then we got a break for a while. That’s only because they were all waiting for us a mile up the trail. Head net was an absolute must.

Comments
Comments: It was an amazing day on the Bigelow’s. The weather was spectacular, the scenery was the best I’ve ever experienced, couldn’t have been a better day. Fire wardens trail ended up a little steeper than I expected, but was well worth it. The trip over to the horns was not all that bad, and worth the trip. We stopped briefly at the pond below the horns, and got treated to a nice conversation with the caretaker, who was fly fishing in the pond. Very nice experience. The trail down from the pond was nice, although nothing too exciting. This marked numbers 62 and 63 on my NE67 list. I will certainly be back again though, just for the spectacular hike and scenery.
