Good signs. Blazes are faded in several places but trail is easy to follow. Just one blow down. Thanks! |

A few ticks and many of the other offenders. Breezes helped, as did spray. On the good side, beautiful butterflies.
Not a problem for hikers, but there are still gypsy moths here. Don't let the caterpillars come home with you! |

Found the Evergreen Link easy to follow. A lot of it is flat and the terrain is easy on the feet. Pay attention to directions in the WMG and the signs and you will not go wrong. variety of trees and flowers at this elevation. More of an ascent once you join Cold Brook. About halfway up it alternates between woods and ledges. These ledges make the hike. So many beautiful pink flowers, there is a tarn, and trilliums in the higher elevations. Spent at least an hour on the summit, perfect day for it. The descent of a hike like this is wonderful due to all you can see from the ledges. If I lived around here I would go there all the time! |
