I needed a short hike today. The clouds cleared just as I started hiking which was nice and the trail is in good shape. I ended up picking up lots of trash. I understand it was a holiday weekend and a lot of people were out. Micro trash was probably accidental. But besides that I picked up a plastic fast food cup, 8 cigarette butts on the top as well as a banana peel and orange peels. It would be great if people would pack out their own and not leave it for locals who frequent these places . Also, it would be nice if people would do their business far off the trail and actually bury it so the rest of us don't have to smell it and our dogs don't get into it. |
