Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Morton Cutoff to Lincoln Pond Road to Beaver Pond Tote Road to Wiggle Brook Road to Bear Brook Road. Parked in a clearing about 1 mile from the Bear Brook/Wiggle Brook intersection. I'd really only recommend this road for vehicles with more clearance than a regular sedan, but there are only a couple of sketchy stretches so it's up to you. Past the 1 mile mark, about 0.25mi more, there are two boulders that block the way...I think some have even driven past this, but it's not really worth it since it's just a road walk and the road ends in about a half mile more anyway. From where I parked, it was a 10mi roundtrip hike, with 6 of it road-walking.

Comments
Comments: This hike is mostly road walk, with about 4 miles of herd-pathing to the two peaks. The road ends in what is essentially logging slash. Thankfully, after about 50 yards of walking in the waste, the herd path diverges off to the right (east) and becomes a very easy to follow trail to the split where a herd path goes NW to Whitecap or SW to Divide. I decided to do Whitecap first, which was very easy to follow all the way to the canister. Upon return to the col, things were a little more nebulous, and I think I started to follow a herd path that might've been going to Porter Brook Road, so I turned around. (Note: I did not go back to the original split, as I did not want to lose the elevation. I had seen some previous bushwhack lines and decided to look for those). The woods were good enough that I ended up picking a line and just bushwhacking myself to the Kennebago herd path. This, too, was a little hard to follow due to a few blowdown areas, but take your time and you'll figure it out. Jar and contents at top were in good shape. Following the Kennebago herd path back to the split was easy.
