Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Caribou Valley Road is in fairly good shape overall, but there are some difficult spots. If you have a low clearance vehicle, you'll need to use the whole road to weave around various obstacles. There are three particularly difficult areas, one of which is right after you turn onto the road. I was able to get to the parking area in a Hyundai Elantra by taking it VERY slowly through the difficult areas. There was one other car there when I arrived on Thursday, and about six or eight cars when I returned on Saturday.

Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Significant

Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in good shape
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No dogs (or people either, for that matter) on the trail today, probably because the weather was horrible.
Bugs
Bugs: Didn't notice them. Maybe the rain kept them away.

Comments
Comments: Started hiking at 3:00 in the rain, and the rain continued for the entire hike to South Crocker, then to North Crocker, and back to South Crocker. Camped in the established spot near the summit of South Crocker. It stopped raining, but the summit was in the clouds all night, and the wind blew torrents of water down onto my tent all night.
