Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at the lot on Stratton Brook Pond Rd on Saturday night and camped at the second established campsite, about 0.7 mile up the trail. The road is mostly OK, but there are a couple of difficult spots. I was able to drive a Hyundai Elantra up the road, by aiming the tires for the ridges instead of the troughs in the difficult sections.

Comments
Comments: Great hike to two outstanding peaks. I didn't have time to complete the loop via the Horns Pond Trail. The first campsite (0.5 mile up the Firewardens Trail) has a better view, but it's right on the trail. The second campsite (0.7 mile up the trail) offers more privacy if you go into the woods a little bit.
