 | Comments: |
A spectacular evening for a sunset hike of these two peaks. Moody skies throughout with winds increasing at sunset followed by a spectacular moonrise. i ascended via Grey Ghost, and Tri Color trails for the most part on a well established path as well as a service road in spots before reaching the SB spur leading to AT. i found this portion of AT very well blazed, and easy to follow. Mountain laurel was in full bloom and plentiful. i also came across one small patch with (two flowers) of what appeared to be diapensia or something very similar. I encountered 3 moose on the drive back. |
