Comments
Comments: If there is a good rainy day hike, this is it. Trails were wet from the start and stayed that way as the rain persisted all day. Pretty easy going up to the Crocker Cirque Campsite then got much steeper to near the summit of S. Crocker. We had a little burst of hail/sleet on the summit of S. Crocker. We then made our way over to Redington following the well established herd path. Plenty of blowdowns to contend with on this stretch of our hike. We hit Redington, signed the register and made our way back to S. Crocker and then pushed on to Crocker Mt. Pretty uneventful over to Crocker with more rain, mud and the wind picked up a bit. Once at the summit, we turned back and retraced our steps out. Descending the steep scree field below S. Crocker was a bit challenging with the rain and wind. All in all a great day on trail with great friends.
