Comments
Comments: Trails were damp following a mid-day shower and continued light rain in the afternoon.

We were planning to ascend St. Sauveur Mountain and loop back around via the Valley Cove Trail. After climbing up and over St. Sauveur, we came to the north junction of the Valley Cove Trail only to discover it was closed for peregrine falcon season. There were no notices of this at the trailhead or any prior trail junctions. As a result, we had an unplanned second ascent of St. Sauveur Mountain. We were fortunately prepared and still had some energy left, but I could see this being an issue for more casual hikers.

Cloudy, misty afternoon, but still some good views from the various ledges near the summit. A few groups of hikers, but not too crowded.
