Pretty rugged hike for someone who is not use to hiking…. Adventurous for experienced hikers. Overgrown in spots, muddy sections to get around, rock scrambling, then ridge walk thru krummholz that disappears the trail at times. Beautiful views on the ridge. Summit has a helicopter pad, tanks, some sort of building…. But views are impressive that includes Katahdin and many more mountains. 59 degrees with a little breeze, very comfortable. Saw moose on drive out to 201. |
