Comments
Comments: A beautiful day for this hike. Great views in all directions from Goose Eye with stand up views from Carlo. The top section of Goose Eye is very steep. The first section of the Mahoosuc trail south of Goose Eye descends rapidly with ladders and steel rungs. Carlo Col trail was an easy loop back to the parking lot but a little hard to follow past the campsite spur. The last mile is on a logging road. Trails were dry with no mud. We saw around 15 thru hikers, pretty evenly split between Nobo and Sobo. We also saw 2 day hikers on Goose Eye.
