Comments
Comments: looking for easy ones, as I will probably be having hernia surgery soon - so no big climbs or heavy packs. And this was great for a hot day, too! Trail looks flat on the map, but there are a few very minor ups and downs in the beginning. Trail is close to Wild River in some spots, but then goes further into a very lovely woods. Great variety, dark and lovely evergreen areas to deciduous places. Did about half of the trail, rested and enjoyed the view and headed back. Probably entered NH at this point, but what starts in Maine, stays in Maine for the most part ends up on the Maine page. Looking forward to seeing the rest from the NH end. Nice woods walk for those looking for something not too physically stressful.

If it's a warm day and you have the time, there is a great swimming hole near the suspension bridge that you used to cross the river.
