Trail Maintenance Notes: No signs at the beginning. There is a lovely plaque dedicated to Daniel Brown on a rock, so you know you're in the right place. Trail not blazed, but extremely obvious. A sign from the Town of Waterford is near the glacial erratic near the summit stating hours and rules. Thank you, Waterford, ME!

Comments
Comments: A big thanks to the town of Waterford for this lovely maintained little mountain. And a big thanks to Allen Crabtree, author of "Go Take a Hike!" This is a wonderful book with hiking tips for seniors, plus a wide selection of hikes in the Whites and Western Maine. Along with difficult and moderate, there is a nice selection of easy hikes as well. Tire'm, despite its name, was easy. A pleasant 20 minute walk up to a scenic ledge, elevation gain of 554 feet in .6 miles. If you like the ledges and pines of the Green Hills Preserve or the Deer Hills and Blueberry Mtn in Evens Notch you will probably like this. Do not miss the glacial erratic, lots of scrambling fun. There is a nearly life-sized carving of a bear nearby.

I ascended this at a moderate pace and had no difficulties.
