Comments: Started up Burnt Meadow Mountain trail at 4:00 am for a sunrise. I sat just below summit at the rock scrambling section and saw some amazing colors form near Pleasant Mountain… about 10 minutes before sunrise everything fizzled out and the sun came up behind a cloud bank… lol. Anyhow continued on to the summit where I flushed a nighthawk… very cool to see. I continued on Twin brook trail down to a little col then up again to a little ridge that brought me back down again, then up to a spot where I wanted to be… beautiful view of Stone Mountain and the Sandwich mountain range. All mountains in the clear including the moats…. Then the rest of the white’s were in the clouds. Went back the way I came instead of completing the loop so I could have views going down Burnt Meadow Mountain. 4.3 mile out & back hike.
