Comments
Comments: Super fun hike on a beautiful day. Water is low so Cataracts not as jaw dropping as I seen it but still very cool…. abandoned trail starts at the privy, blue blazes fresh and easy to follow. Very cool gorge to explore with low water. Trail easy to follow all the way to the AT. No sign on AT for trail we came up. Steep 0.4 up to Little Baldpate…. Views were endless, panoramic, very cool summit. Anemometer read 41 degrees, 13mph wind speed, wind chill at 32 degrees. A little chilly… hike up to East Baldpate was easy and views were incredible…. So many mountains everywhere. Mt Washington in the clear. Steep decline to open col then a short steep hike up to West Baldpate…. Wooded summit with a sign, many people fly right by it not knowing it’s there. Wonderfully built steps for a easy decent then pretty chill to the table rock junction. 0.5 to table rock… great views of Puzzle, Sunday River Whitecap, and Old Specks massive cliffs. Neat spot, orange trail very, very steep on decent, some very cool boulders to maneuver around. Busy parking lot with trail magic for the AT hikers. Fun day.
