Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at the first pull-off on the left. There are many places to get off the road along the way, so parking is not an issue.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The logging road is rough. I only drove in one mile with my small SUV. Depending on your risk tolerance, you could drive in one more mile. With a truck, the entire 3 miles.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Did not see any other humans or dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: It was warm…there were a lot of lady bugs flying around.

Comments
Comments: This was a 9 mile hike for me. I only drove in one mile because I didn’t want to damage my vehicle. This can be a short 3 mile hike if you drive in the entire way. As I was leaving, I passed a tractor that was grading the road, around mile 2. I’m not sure how much of the road he was going to work on, but anything is an improvement. I followed All Trails because there are a few splits that can be confusing, but it really is an easy hike. Once in the woods, the final half mile herd path is easy to follow, but steep.
