Just an FYI that the gravel road off of Rt 11 (labelled as Unnamed 3 Road on Gaia) is snow covered and hadn’t seen terribly recent traffic. A bit of a snowbank to get up off Rt 11 too. I plowed through that, but didn’t love what I saw after it. It hadn’t seen the same trafffic that Mountain Rd to Mt Chase I’d been on earlier had seen. I continued very cautiously for a short ways but soon turned around. I may have been okay to continue but I decided to turn around and save this for when I’d be back in the summer to redline the Debouille area. I just couldn’t convince myself to hike a 4.5mi road walk for a 0.3mi hike!!! A 4WD truck or maybe an AWD vehicle may have felt safe enough to continue. |
