Parking/Access Road Notes: Small-medium sized parking lot off of Watson Pond Rd (paved). One or two other cars there when I arrived and left. Not sure, but I’d tend to this this gets either plowed or well trafficked enough to be able to park in winter.

Comments
Comments: 2nd hike of the day after redlining the nearby Round Top Trail. I hiked the loop clockwise, opposite of how the book describes. The direction you hike it really doesn’t matter. Easy grades with a few steeper pitches thrown in. Ascending along Beaver Brook was quite scenic especially with the rain from the night before. The trail was still wet at times from the rain though the sun was beginning to poke through at times though it took longer than the weatherman anticipated. The summit has a limited view. I whacked N/NW along the summit briefly to try and find the highpoint which actually would appear to nearly be on trail at the southern end of the highest contour. A bit difficult to tell though as it’s pretty flat. Some interesting woods and slabs/rock field and you descend east off of the summit. Watson Pond was quite nice most of the way back to the car. Saw one other person out, completing the loop in the reverse direction. First person I’ve seen hiking in this area. Gaia had me at 3.5mi, 450ft of gain. Took me just under 1.5hrs to complete.
