Comments: Starting out the snow wasn’t terribly soft. I wore snowshoes the whole time. There were a few bare patches from snow being washed away but they weren’t significant enough to take off the snowshoes. I think at any point it would have been harder without them. As the day wore on and got warmer, the snow was very soft, almost slushy so I slid around some in the steeper areas on the way down.The trail is pretty choppy from the soggy conditions today.
