I started late and gave myself a turn around time of 4pm so I knew I wasn’t going to get to the summit, especially since I was breaking the trail. I only went as far as the top of a big hill not too far from where the trees change from hardwood to soft wood. Nice powdery snow made breaking the trail easy. Underneath the new powder the trail is sturdy and seemed quite smooth. If people hike this trail wearing their snowshoes before the next storm, which I think is Thursday, this trail will set up nice. |
