Success Pond Road still the same somewhat rough ride, just take time..but can't get to Speck Pond Trailhead due to at least 3 washouts, unless you have high clearance and want the risk..I parked .3 mile from trailhead next to a large metal culvert section on the left..also a place on right..4 tenths miles from the jct to go to Success Pond.. |

First dip is dry, second larger one is all rocks, as it has been for a few years... |

Trail work day to the sharp left turn...sawed up about a dozen small blow downs and protruders, removed numerous debris from trail, cleaned some water bars..two huge blowdown remain, not enough time to handle Pro Crew might have to take them on..washout near trailhead and second crossing took out some nice work from AMC a few years ago... |

This was a trail check/work day..looks like there's no adopter this year for the whole trail...so will be checking again and trying to get up to at least May Cut off...sure the hobblebush and whips and grass etc will start to grown into trail soon!! |
