Comments: Day 4 of our four day traverse between hwy 4 - hwy 27. We were feeling better after our 0 the day before. But still opted to change our plans (forgo the Crockers) and instead exited Carbiou Valley. We woke up at 3:30 o beat the heat of the day for us and the dogs. The descent was STEEP and the dogs weren't as confident on the ledges and made for a some coaxing, but they and we all managed. Humidity was high, but once we hit the river the dogs all took a dip and cooled down. Caribou Valley Road offered no shade, one of us hightailed out to then walk up the hwy to the car - thank goodness for a fast hitch! Caribou Valley Road was doable with my Jetta.. slow slow slow going and the worst was the initial wash out at the start of the road. Back to hwy 4 for the other car and only 1 car in the lot!
