Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This trail is in need of a lot of attention especially in the area between Lane campsite and the Bald Pates. Many blowdowns that I had to go either over or crawl under. One is two huge yellow birches that completely obscure the trail. Blazes in one are are so faded they are difficult to see unless you are really looking hard. One small area, I think it was around Town Corner campsite was so overgrown that the trail could not be seen.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I had my dog with me. A 40lb heeler/hound mix. He did fine over the whole trail except needed some help climbing the ledge with metal rungs. He did just fine climbing the ladder between the Bald Pates but in the past, coming down that has been a little problem and we have to show him the way around. A large dog would have more trouble.
