Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: - Bickford Slides trail crosses the stream several times within about 200 yards and it would be difficult to keep your feet dry. It may be sketchier in higher water. - Bickford Brook is not rock hoppable next to the Blueberry Ridge/Bickford Brook intersection. It looked like there was a spot upstream where you could keep you feet dry, but mine were already wet so I powered through.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Bickford Brook Tr and Blueberry Ridge were generally in good shape, with a few drainage issues (like every trail this summer). There were a few blowdowns and stepovers but I did not need to remove my pack. Bickford Slides has a long portion of the trail that has been taken by the stream and is hard to follow; I ran into another party that had given up.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Mine had a great time. There's lots of exposed rock on this route so make sure your dog's paws are OK with it. There's a lot of water and I did not need to deploy his water bowl.
Bugs
Bugs: None.

Comments
Comments: I went up Bickford Brook Tr, over to the Speckled Mtn summit, and descended Blueberry Ridge back to the Bickford Brook Tr and Brickett Place. I'd suggest going the other way due to the steepness of Blueberry Ridge.

Bickford Slides was tough to follow in a few spots (see trail maintenance and water crossing notes) but was really pretty and it looked like there were a few spots for a swim.

Some leaves are starting to change, mostly on bushes.
