Upon departure, we checked in with the ski area and told them our plans. They told us which ski trail to follow up ( green weaver ) and said, have fun !( don't try this at Sugarloaf ) staff and ski patrol were very friendly and would stop to chat with us, as well as some skiers.
We put micro spikes on at the bottom and would wear them all day.
Icy on the ridge. not much snow. If I were going now, I would throw some crampons in the pack though...
We took the Grey Ghost trail ski trail down. from top of the chairlift to the bottom took 8 minutes. probably a little better than book time but, we knew there were cold beers at the bottom. |
