Some lovely people broke out the trail to the Horn, it was easy to follow for the most part. The snow is very soft, you will need snowshoes at least until a long freeze.
Usually I don't care about postholes, but snowboarders and skiers walk to Saddleback (and the smaller summit just beyond) from the ski trail with their ski boots making things very sketchy for snowshoeing. Unfortunately the walkers vastly outnumber snowshoe traffic. Take it slow here. |
