Comments
Comments: Camped at Abol camp shelter. Very cloudy and cold day, pea soup up top! Spiked all the way to peak and back to Abol then put on crampons and pulled out ice axe, it snowed about 3 inches during the day and the additional snow caused the packed snow to become very slippery, spikes didn't penetrate thru the new snow. Took it slow going down and it took us longer to go down than up. Abol trail well packed out, a little hard to follow on tableland with the new snow. Second time up I bailed on going to Hamlin due to weather. Will try end around next time going thru Chimney Pond!
