The North Shore road was plowed to the North Cove road where I parked on the side of the road at this junction. It was a short 5-minute snowshoe to the A.T. hiker parking lot where I picked up the white blazes. |

The trail includes a few running brooks but I could step over them on snowshoes, no problem. |

![Trail Maintenance Notes](../icons1/iconsaw.gif) | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I hiked the trail the day before the latest storm. I was hiking in about a foot of snow at the time, the trail was unbroken. There were several significant blow-downs but I took my time and navigated them without having to take off my snow shoes. Spectacular views from the top, this would be a great summit to view the upcoming eclipse from. |
