I parked right across from the start of the road walk on Mountain Rd. just up from the Evergreen Valley Lodge. Room for about 3 or 4 vehicles along the side of the road. Parking allowed at the lodge with permission. |

Trail in pretty good shape. There are some larger step overs which I believe are left overs from last year. |

Bugs are starting to get active. I used some repellent which did the job. |

The access road walk is about .4 mile uphill until the Evergreen Link Trail starts. The whole road area has been logged out since last year. Looks really ugly. There used to be signage at the start of the trail, but it's gone. Just follow the nice footbed straight. The signage starts in about 1/4 mile. The trail coincides with a snowmobile trail for just a short distance. In about 1 mile you'll reach the junction with the Cold Brook Trail which continues to the summit. The lower section of the Cold Brook Trail has been decommissioned due to private land. The trail has lots of places with pooled and running water. The ledges offer some fantastic views. Just before the trail reaches the summit, there are some patches of snow in the evergreens, but easy to get through. I had the trail to myself today. |
