Bugs
Bugs: Black flies at low to moderate level (if that makes any sense). I wore bug spray. I brought a head net but did not use it as I worried it might impair my vision of the trail.

Comments
Comments: This was my first time on this trail, which I did for the NE67. Wild nature, views, waterfalls and streams, a fire tower at the summit. I found it very strenuous and sort of like the ups and downs of the Kinsmans or the like. It took me almost 4 hours to go the almost 4 miles up. Good footing, good trail, tons of great rocks. I carried microspikes but there was only one significant patch of snow remaining and it was only 30 feet or less so I didn't even put the spikes on - just took extra care over that area. In fact the bigger factor on this day was the unseasonably warm temps in the 80s. I camped the night before at Grafton Notch Campground, just up the road from the trail.
