| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
No official parking area but you can park roadside by the trailhead on Hiram Hill Rd which I felt comfortable doing. Another option would be to park in the lot for North Trail 1/3mi down the road and just walk. I was the only car parked roadside at 1 and 1:45pm and there were just a couple of cars in the North Trail lot between 11 and 2 when I was in the area. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
The guidebook says there was one but I don't recall anything so it was likely quite small. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trail was not terribly well travelled but was blazed in white. I should have said in my other trail report for all the other trails on Mt Cutler that all the trails seemed to be pretty regularly and frequently blazed if I recall correctly. I don't recall if there were any blowdowns on this trail. The trails here are marked with laminated paper signs on trees that don't always seem to stand the test of time. I forget if the ones on this trail were still legible or not. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Sure but make note of the sign regarding Yellow Jacket Hornets. |
|
| Bugs: |
I don't remember mosquitos or anything on this side of the mountain but there's a sign at the jct with Link Trail saying they recommend you avoid it due to a yellow jacket hornets nest underground that others have been stung from that is not far from the trails jct with Ridge Walk. Stinging insects being one of my worst fears in life, I proceeded with caution and bated breath but alas ran into nothing on my way up or down. What's more there was no sign saying this on Ridge Trail (which the nest is supposed to be close to according to the other sign) which makes me wonder if this is a sign from last year... |

While I'd meant to redline these trails while doing my hike earlier on the day on Mt Cutler, I missed more than one trail jct where I'd meant to turn and at a certain point it seemed to make more sense to just drive over here and redline these trails separately. I hiked an OAB on Northwest Trail to Ridge Walk and an OAB on Link Trail to North Trail on my way up. The trail had rather nice grades, good footing as I recall, and some different sort of woods. Gaia had me at 1.7mi, 500ft of gain, 46min. |
