Comments
Comments: Jockey Cap is a very short, but extremely popular hike in downtown Fryeburg. There are a maze of trails which lead from multiple trailheads to the huge ledge on top of the hill. We parked at the new trailhead and made a loop using a variety of these trails. Unfortunately, due to the heavy use the area sees, there is a lot of trash and erosion. The town has been engaging in a project to conserve the area, and hopefully they will eventually completely redo the main trail to better accommodate the high usage.

That being said, it does not take away from the beautiful views from the summit! The open ledge provides a panorama of views that covers roughly 270?. We were also lucky that there were only a few other people on the hill while we were there.
