Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Mostly writing this to report on the road to the Miles Notch Trailhead North as I found little/no beta about it. Flat Rd South from West Bethel, then Grove Hill Rd west turning into Tyler Rd turning into Miles Brook Rd. All roads are in decent shape to the trailhead, which has space for more cars than will ever be ther. Though there's a washout forming right at the parking area itself and a couple steepish hills to navigate. Doable in low clearance up to the parking area, but was glad to have mid-clearance at the parking area. There are some camps on this road, so suspect it gets better maintenance than some of it's siblings.

Comments
Comments: Hiked from the northern Miles Notch Trail trailhead to Miles Notch proper, then bushwhacked west up to Miles Knob. Short but steep whack, and had to navigate some cliffs/slabs but in open / good woods. Found the high point with no signs anyone had been there prior to this trip. Went a bit further north off the summit, hoping to find a less sketchy descent, which I indeed found in a minor gully, popping me out right around the southern of the two Wilderness boundary signs on Miles Notch Trail. Easy jaunt back to the car once I returned to the trail. Some pretty epic foliage today.
