Comments
Comments: Started at 10am from Sugarloaf Resort with an uphill pass. The uphill route was mostly on the ski trails. Someone was ahead of us on the hike between Sugarloaf and Spaulding, so route finding was easy. He turn around half way between to two summits. The trail was firm for snowshoe, except for a few Spruce Traps. On the way back from Spaulding, my snowshoe broke and tried hiking without it. That did not work. I postholed to my thigh every step. Then used a few straps to secure my snowshoe to my foot, so we could slowly get back to Sugarloaf. The walk down the ski trail was easy.
