Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked in what I believe was a small dirt parking area on Pigeon Hill Rd as described in the guidebook. Room for at least a few cars, probably more. I don't recall well.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Wet/Slippery Rock, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Spring Snow
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: I don't think there were any.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Silver Mine and Summit Loop are blazed in yellow, Ledge Woods Trail in red, the Glacial Erratic Spur in white, and Historic Trail in blue. I do not recall how frequent the blazing was or if there were blowdowns which probably means there weren't any or many. I don't recall the trails being difficult to follow other than maybe on ledge. I'm pretty sure that all jcts were signed.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Dogs are allowed and can be off leash. Some of the trails may be a bit rough for some dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: None
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None

Comments
Comments: Second hike of the day after redlining Baker Hill and Schoodic Mtn. I do not remember ground conditions terribly well on this hike but I think it was beginning to mist so things were wet. Less snow here than elsewhere but still a little ice at times and I think I had to throw on my spikes once towards the beginning on my ascent of Silver Mine Trail. Route: Silver Mine Trail --> Summit Loop Trail (south) to upper jct with Ledge Woods Trail --> Ledge Woods Trail (with OAB on Glacial Erratic Spur) --> Summit Loop Trail to summit and back down to --> Historic Trail to car. The trails were much rougher than I anticpated footing wise with some miniature boulder fields but were not that steep. Made for interesting hiking though I was disappointed to be in fog and not have views. Make sure not to miss Glacial Erratic Spur. Gaia had me at 2.2mi, 375ft of gain, 1hr2min.
