Comments
Comments: Previously, Wilder Hill was still an easy hike, but it took a drive on a rugged logging road into a rather remote area to get to it. Now that the Mountain View Estates are being built, it is an easy drive, albeit up a huge hill, for just about any vehicle along a wide graded road alongside power lines and new houses. It was quite the jarring experience for someone who has spent a lot of time exploring the back woods of Temple.

Luckily, the short loop trail over Wilder Hill is exactly the same as it was. The short trail is less than half a mile long and follows an ATV trail. At the top is a picnic table and an expansive viewpoint South and West. In the middle of the panorama is the Presidential Range. Also not able is the close-up view of the back side of Mount Blue. It is the perfect place for a short walk and is also a great place to take someone who might not be able to hike mountains, but still wants to experience the views.
