Comments
Comments: Snowshoes were on the whole way except above treeline. 2' of snow at piazza shelter, with more higher. Very little signs of traffic. I got off trail a little by Edy pond, but found it easy enough. Once above treeline, there were only patches of snow. Going north off of saddleback summit towards the horn, there is significant snow and ice until you get lower into the saddle. On the way back I met two groups who had tried barebooting towards piazza shelter. Luckily, they had turned around before they got too far in. No packed trail and deep snow makes for hard booting
