Great hike with stunning views. The initial climb up the ski slope is deceptively difficult (about 1100’ per mile), but that was partly my fault for just blasting up it because the open terrain makes me feel like I’m going slower than I really am. Otherwise the hiking is pleasant along the ridge sections and the views are really some of the best in Maine. The trail is largely dry and we were able to trail run most of the ski trail back to the car. |
