It was a perfect day today for a hike up Burnt Mountain in Carrabassett Valley! The trail was in its usual eroded condition with some blowdowns, but nothing too crazy. There were a fair number of people out, but we ended up having the summit entirely to ourselves for close to an hour. There was a nice cool breeze above treeline and unlimited views in every direction. After the hike, we stopped by West Mountain Falls to cool off a bit. |
