 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Caribou Pond rd was fine with my SUV but there were definitely some spots I was a little nervous about. Took it slow. Only saw other high clearance vehicles in the parking lot. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The AT is in great condition. The herd path from South Crocker to Redington was easy to follow and I didn’t need my GPS at all. Absolutely riddled with blowdowns though, I’d recommend pants but today was so hot I had to wear shorts. Got my legs cut up real good! |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Started early as possible to avoid the mid-day heat. Some good water heading up to South Crocker on the AT but between S. Crocker to Crocker & Redington it’s very dry, so pack plenty of water. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Black flies were annoying as usual any time I stopped. |

Interesting day on this trail! I needed these peaks to bring me to 64 for the NE67. Opted to head to Redington first to get it out of the way. I was definitely the first one and walked into about 30 spider webs. Herd path was extremely easy to follow, but blowdowns slowed me down significantly. The AT section was clearly well traveled and easy going. Happy to have these peaks done and probably won’t return any time soon! |
