 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
There was parking at the trailhead but I parked by the ski lodge and walked the road past the condos, added some mileage. |

Bridged. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Only a couple downed trees to step over on Flyrod Crosby. The turn off for the hiking trail could use a marker, I walked quite a ways past it before realizing on my way back. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
No hazards. I was barked at and sniffed by one little pooch on the ridge. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Not too bad, mostly deer flies on Flyrod Crosby. |

 | Comments: |
Not too busy on a hot and hazy Tuesday. I arrived at 10:30 and there were groups heading up the ski trails. I opted for the long way around back. I visited a disappointing view spur on a hill between the ponds, I would recommend skipping that to save a mile. I enjoyed the ponds though, even borrowed a canoe for a quick lunchtime paddle on Eddy pond. The view of the mountain from the canoe was great. The multi-use ATV road is well marked, but I did miss my turn off on the way back, it could use a cairn or another arrow there. Berry Picker starts just after a snowmo bridge, the 600’ loss in elevation is annoying, but the road and trail have some interesting views. Sadly I found almost no berries anywhere, even though there were ripe ones on other mountains in the area. This mountain was gorgeous anyway and a light breeze made it a good choice on a hot day although I got sunburned. |
